New teachers welcomed to Warwick Valley

This school year, the Warwick Valley Central School District welcomes 19 new educators.

Welcome to our newest teachers!

The new teachers recently attended a three-day orientation workshop during which they were introduced to the district, their mentors, and the Warwick Valley Community.

Led by Cindy Leandro, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, the orientation, held Aug. 27-29, included a detailed overview of the District’s missions and goals, as well as presentations from administrators and their new co-workers. In all, dozens of teachers, administrators, and staffers participated in the orientation.

The new teachers and their assignments are:

  • Brett A. Algera: Special Education at the Middle School
  • Heather A. Bakker: Special Education at the Middle School
  • Camille R. Cappa: Grade 3 at Park Avenue Elementary
  • Marissa V. Carlton: PIE Kindergarten at Sanfordville Elementary
  • Stephen D. Garby:  Grade 4 at Park Avenue Elementary
  • Brad R. Garcia: Special Education at the Middle School
  • Michelle L. Gebele: Special Education at the Middle School
  • Caitlyn E. Giampaolo: English at the Middle School
  • Rebekah J. Jackson: Kindergarten at Sanfordville Elementary
  • Kristine M. Landman: Library Media Specialist at Sanfordville Elementary
  • Veronica L. Malloy: PIE 3/4 at Sanfordville Elementary
  • James R. McCabe: School Psychologist
  • Emily M. McGurk: Kindergarten at Sanfordville Elementary
  • Ping Xu Moroney: Chinese at the Middle School and the High School
  • Warren A. Patafio Jr.: Social Studies at the Middle School
  • Samantha N. Prestano: English at the Middle School
  • Caroline V. Weishaupt: School Psychologist
  • Amanda L. Wright: English at the Middle School
