Music program receives national honor for sixth year in a row
Warwick Valley is honored to receive the Best Community for Music Education designation from the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation for the sixth year in a row.
The Foundation this week recognized 583 districts nationwide for their unwavering commitment to, and support of, music education. The award recognizes the commitment of school administrators, community leaders, teachers and parents who believe in music education and are working to ensure that it is part of a complete education for all children.
School districts that receive the “Best Communities for Music Education” designation are often held up as models for schools looking to boost their own music education programs.
At WVCSD, students in grades 4-12 participate in band and orchestra, chorus, Music in Our Lives & Music Production. In grades 3 and 4, all students participate in chorus, and from kindergarten through eighth grade all students take general music.
We thank all of our outstanding Warwick Valley music educators for their tireless commitment to our students.
