Warwick Valley High School Student-Athlete of the Week, Sarah Lennon

Warwick High School is proud to select Sarah Lennon as this week’s ALLSTATE Student-Athlete of the Week.

Sarah and the Lady Wildcat Basketball Team finished their season with a record of 22-2, including a Division Championship and Section 9 Finals appearance.

Sarah’s accomplishments and contributions to the basketball team are remarkable, considering she is less than a year out from ACL surgery.  She scored 12 points in the Semi-final vs. FDR and 8 points in the final vs. Monroe-Woodbury.  She was a senior captain this season.

Sarah is an outstanding student whose grade point average is a 92.2. She has been recognized by the NYSPHSAA as a Scholar-Athlete for Volleyball and Basketball as a three year varsity player in both sports.

She has been accepted to Utah State where she will major in Journalism and plans to continue playing basketball or volleyball.

Sarah is the daughter of Dan and Kate Lennon of Warwick.  She has three brothers: Matt (’07), Eric (’09) and Ryan, a sophomore at Warwick Valley.
