March 14: Emily Eder, Athlete of the Week

Warwick Valley High School is proud to honor Emily Eder as this week’s Student–Athlete of the Week, sponsored locally by ALLSTATE Insurance Bill Garcia Agency.

Emily is in her sixth year of running for the Warwick Track Program (cross-country, indoor and outdoor track) and her successful career as a student – athlete will continue at East Stroudsburg University next fall. Emily is a decorated member of the Wildcats Purple Wave and received the distinguished “Most Dedicated Award” as junior for indoor track.  She has been an inspiration to her teammates and an outstanding role model in the high school.

Emily is active in  high school and balances a challenging courseload of Advanced Placement Classes with her responsibilities as Student Senate President. She has received the Youth Rotary Leadership Award and serves as a member of the St. Stephens Parish Council. She will begin her studies as a Sports Management Major in the College of Business and Management on the ESU Campus.

Emily is the daughter of Kathleen and Karl Eder of Warwick.  Her brother Brendan is a freshman at Warwick Valley High School.  On behalf of ALLSTATE Insurance Bill Garcia Agency, Warwick Valley High School is proud to recognize Emily Eder as Student – Athlete of the Week.
