Malfunction of kitchen equipment causes delay at middle school

All students are safe, and school is back on schedule.

A malfunction of a warming oven set off a fire alarm in the middle school kitchen this morning as buses were arriving, and students were briefly relocated to the high school. While this caused congestion on West Street and delayed the start of school by about 25 minutes, all the students are safe and school is back on schedule. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we worked to ensure the safety of students and address the matter satisfactorily.
