Local entrepreneur inspires MS students to follow their passion

Local business owner visits WVMSEntrepreneur and hip-hop artist, Timmy Grins, visited Mrs. Waters’ seventh-grade science class on June 8.

Students enjoyed his presentation, in which he told the story of how he started and built his successful all-natural frozen fruit treat company. Timmy and his brother, who grew up in Vernon, first created the iceys in his brother’s kitchen here in Warwick.

It was a great way for Ms. Waters’ 7th graders to see how their inventions and dreams can come true, especially as they practice creating things during “Maker Mondays.”

Currently a resident of Brooklyn, Timmy’s company, “Cool Suppliers,” currently provides the frozen treats to 10,000 stores in over 25 states.

The iceys, available in several flavors, are sold locally at Larry’s Deli, Sunoco Minimart, Pine Island Deli, Pennings, Local business owner visits WVMSand were recently added at Warwick ShopRite.

As a special treat at the end of the presentation, the students enjoyed one of the all-natural frozen fruit treats, offered in a variety of natural flavors and gluten free, dairy free, and peanut free. Warwick is even mentioned on the packaging!
