Warwick Valley High School is proud to honor Paul Ginley as this week’s Student–Athlete of the Week, sponsored locally by All State Insurance Bill Garcia Agency.

The senior two-sport standout (Varsity Football and Varsity Wrestling) is a two-time Varsity Wrestling Captain and key contributor to the Wildcats fast start and successful wrestling campaign this winter.  Paul is a two-time Section 9 Place Finisher and was voted Most Valuable Wrestler at the Newburgh Duals.  His individual win versus Middletown Friday night, Jan.  was key to the Wildcats victory as the team gets ready for its first league match vs. Valley Central on Wednesday.

Paul is an outstanding student, with a senior grade point average in the low 90s in a challenging course load that includes AP English Literature and AP Government for College Credit. He is a Warwick Valley Rotary and Lion’s Club Member.  He has donated more than 200 pairs of eyeglasses to people in need, and has raised more than $32,000 worth of blood units in two years in the name of his sister, Christina.

He plans to study Physical Therapy in college and has narrowed his choices to Sacred Heart University and the University of Wisconsin.

Paul is the son of Barbara and Joe Ginley of Warwick.  He honors his sister Christina every day by the way he carries himself and is following in the footsteps of his brother Joe, who is now a sophomore at SUNY Maritime.

On behalf of ALLSTATE Insurance Bill Garcia Agency, Warwick Valley High is proud to recognize Paul Ginley as Student – Athlete of the Week.
