WVHS Financial Aid Night is Thurs., Oct. 20

on September 30, 2016

File as early as Oct. 1

You can now file your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as October 1.  Most colleges, and the federal government, use the FAFSA to help determine a student’s eligibility for assistance in paying for college. That’s why the FASFA is critical to the college enrollment process. The chance to file earlier is important because it affords you and your family more time to evaluate your options.

New date for Financial Aid Night: Thu., Oct. 20

To help you take advantage of the earlier filing date, we are moving up the date of our annual Financial Aid Night to Thur., Oct. 20, at 7 p.m., in the HS Auditorium.

The High School Guidance Department encourages parents/guardians of all college-bound seniors to attend. The evening’s program will be especially valuable for parents of first-time college applicants.

Representatives from Marist College Financial Services Department will present on the fundamentals of financial aid, grants and scholarships, and breakdown the steps to apply and secure the assistance you seek. The program will conclude with a question-and-answer session.
