Warwick Valley pride on display during Homecoming Parade

September 14, 2019

Senior class homecoming floatWarwick Valley Pride was on full display as hundreds of Wildcats lined the streets for the district’s annual Homecoming Parade on Saturday, Sept. 14.

For more than an hour, alumni, current students, educators and locals braved rain showers for the chance to see our band, choir, cheerleaders, homecoming court winners and class representatives march on by with a wave and a smile.

The senior class’ winning float and skit, inspired by Candyland, involved a students’ experience navigating the “game” of high school and a winner interaction with her future self. The sophomores’ float, inspired by the Game of Life, earned second place. The junior and freshmen class placed third and fourth in the contest, with floats inspired by Monopoly and Hungry, Hungry Hippos, respectively.

The day culminated with a win against Burke Catholic’s football team, 36-21 followed by the homecoming dance.

Thank you to everyone within the school district and community who had a role in the day’s success! Visit the district’s Facebook page to see photos from the parade.
