High School to Reopen on Wednesday, September 14

Warwick Valley High School will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, September 14, 2022, after being closed today due to a power outage caused by a blown transformer.

Many items, such as a new transformer for the high school, are difficult to obtain due to supply chain issues. This morning, the district purchased a transformer from a private company. This evening, the district, with the assistance of Orange and Rockland Utilities, will install the new transformer. The district has also secured two generators to provide the high school with electricity in the meantime, if needed.
