"Warwick Feud" fundraiser winning teams 2016

Student members of the 2016 winning team, The Papa Family, are shown with the second place team, “Takin’ Care of Business” from the WVCSD District Office.

The WVHS chapter of Mu Alpha Theta hosted the “Warwick Feud” fundraiser, based on the game show Family Feud, on April 20 at Warwick Valley High School.

Teams made up of students, teachers, staff and administrators played for their favorite charity. Mr. Ray Mark and Ms. Lynn Price, co-advisors of Mu Alpha Theta, organized the event, and the evening was hosted by Mr. Nick DiLeo.

The winning team was The Papa Family, and the student members of the team were: Kesigh Deloatch, Pat Neary, Isaac Heatley, Brendan McShane, Claire Neary and Shamus Byrne.

The annual charity event raised over $900, and charities will receive portions of the money raised. One third of the money will go back to Mu Alpha Theta, and the two charities that will receive donations are Orange for Ian and the Brian Ahearn Foundation.

The money raised from this event will be split three ways: , one-third of the money will go to “Orange for Ian,” (the charity that the Mu Alpha Theta members chose), and one-third of the money will go toward the charity for which the winning team has chosen to play.

For more information about the event, contact Ray Mark or Lynn Price at rmark@wvcsd.org or lprice@wvcsd.org.

Mu Alpha Theta would like to thank all the students, teachers, administrators, staff and audience members who came to participate in, or watch, the tournament!
