Four WVHS student-athletes sign National Letters of Intent

on May 16, 2016

Four WVHS student-athletes signed college letters of intentA ceremony celebrating the signing of National Letters of Intent by four WVHS student-athletes was held on May 12, 2016 at Warwick Valley High School.

The event was attended by parents, siblings, friends and teammates.

 

National Letters of Intent were signed by these four WVHS student-athletes:

 

Megan Reilly

Warwick Senior XC – Track and Field Athlete
National Letter of Intent to attend Loyola Marymount University of Los Angeles, California. Full athletic scholarship to cover cost of tuition, room and board.

2 time Cross Country New York State Champion
Section 9 County Champion 1500 M, 1000M (2016)
NYSPHSAA Scholar – Athlete Track and Field
Multi Time All-American

Recruited by Scott Guerrero to compete as a Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor athlete for the LMU Lions of the West Coast Conference. Megan chose LMU over Xavier, Villanova and Syracuse as top contenders.

Warwick Senior XC – Track and Field Athlete
National Letter of Commitment to attend Siena College of Albany, NY

Career Highlights
2 time All American 4 X 800M
Placed three times at the NYSPHSAA State Championships
Elite runner in the 800M (2:17.9 PR)

Recruited by John Kenworthy Head Coach Siena College. Plans to compete in XC, Indoor and Outdoor track for the Siena Saints of the Metro Atlantic Athletic conference. Chose Sienna over Syracuse and James Madison. Will go in undecided for her major.

National Letter of Commitment to attend Bucknell University of Pennsylvania.

3 Time Section 9 Indoor Champion 1000M, 1600 M, 4X400M (2016)
NYSPHSAA 4 X 800M Relay Indoor Track State Champions (Fed and State)
Ran 153.0 (split) at the New Balance Indoor Nationals

Recruited by Head Coach Kevin Donner of Bucknell University and plans to run Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track. Bucknell competes in the Patriot League. Dean’s Scholarship Award Winner ($10,000) and plans to major in mathematics. Chose Bucknell as an early decision following official visit in October.

All State Selection for Cross Country and Section 9 Cross Country Team Champion (4 years) – Captain for XC
NYSPHSAA Scholar – Athlete Track and Field and Cross Country
Excels in distance, two mile and steeplechase.

Recruited by Coach Peter Colaizzo as a XC, Indoor and Outdoor athlete for the Red Foxes of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Plans to study business finance and chose Marist over Northeastern and High Point. Recipient of the Hudson Valley Scholarship and partial athletic scholarship
