Fifth-graders get a lesson in the “three R’s” – Recycle, Reuse, Reduce

Mrs. Flynn’s fifth-grade students welcomed guest Bill Greene from Sustainable Warwick into their classroom on Wed., May 11, to learn more about the “three R’s” – recycle, reuse and reduce.

Mr. Greene went through the classroom’s waste and recycling containers to see how well the students know what is trash and what can be recycled. The students were stumped on a few items, but did very well overall!

(Parents, don’t be surprised if your student starts suggesting rinsing and reusing those ziploc bags for lunch and snacks!)
