Warwick Valley High School Student-Athlete of the Week, Demi Herasme

Warwick Valley High School is proud to select senior Demi Herasme as this weeks’ ALLSTATE Student – Athlete of the Week.

Demi is a key contributor to the Lady Wildcat Varsity Basketball Team, which is currently ranked 11th in New York State (Class AA). The Lady Wildcats completed their regular season with a 19 – 1 record.

In Demi’s final week vs. Washingtonville, she scored 23 points, recorded 12 rebounds and contributed 10 assists (triple double).

Demi is also an outstanding Volleyball Player (4 year varsity player and senior captain).

Demi is an outstanding student whose grade point average is a 90.2.

She has been recognized by the NYSPHSAA as a Scholar – Athlete for Basketball and Volleyball her junior and senior seasons.

Demi is the Editor in Chief of the school newspaper, The Survey, and a member of the WVHS Leadership Academy.

She has applied to SUNY New Paltz, Seton Hall and Scranton, where she plans to study Chemistry (many have encouraged her to pursue education as a major).

Demi is the daughter of Rey and Mery Herasme of Warwick. She has two brothers – Matt (HS junior) and Marc (7th grader). Both are outstanding student–athletes.
