District Message: February 16, 2022

Throughout the morning, some community members gathered outside of Sanfordville Elementary, Park Ave Elementary, Warwick Valley Middle School, and Warwick Valley High School to protest the NYS mask mandate for schools. These protests were held outdoors and without incident. Out of an abundance of caution, additional security and police were present on the District’s grounds and in the schools.  

While there seems to be misinformation circulating, it is important to repeat that the protests were held without incident, and that the group has now dispersed. There was no damage to school property, and no one entered or left our school buildings without permission.  

Dismissal will take place at regular times today. As always, security will be present.
