Jadis, the White Witch, on stage at WVHS

The WVHS Drama Club’s production of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, presented Nov. 2-3, brought C.S. Lewis’ classic tale to life on the Warwick Valley stage.

The production, directed by Nick DiLeo, who is celebrating his 20th anniversary as Drama Club advisor, featured many of the wonderful characters from the beloved story, including Aslan, the White Witch, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, Mr. Tumnus, and the four children who enter a magical wardrobe and find themselves in Narnia, a land where it always snows but it’s never Christmas.

You can view images from the show on the WVCSD Facebook page. (You don’t need a Facebook account to see them.)

Next up for the Drama Club is the mega-hit Broadway musical Mamma Mia!
This sunny and funny tale, featuring the songs of supergroup ABBA, tells the story of a young woman’s search for her birth father. The daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago.

Mamma Mia! will be performed March 15-16, 2019.
