COVID Update 4.14.2021

April 14, 2021

Dear Warwick Valley CSD Families and Staff,

Here’s the latest update regarding confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Warwick Valley Central School District, which have occurred since our last communication on Wednesday, April 4/7/2021:

  • Pine Island ES: No new cases reported.
  • Park Avenue ES: No new cases reported.
  • Sanfordville ES: Two cases reported; one was an employee who was in attendance during his/her infectious period, and one was a student who was not in school during his/her infectious period.
  • Middle School: One student in attendance during his/her infectious period.
  • High School: Seven cases reported.  Five students were in attendance during their infectious periods.  Two students were not in attendance during their infectious periods.

In all cases above, the District notified the students/families required to quarantine.

These cases serve as an important reminder that the pandemic is not over. We must continue to practice the mitigating measures that help prevent the spread of the virus, including wearing face coverings, and social distancing.

Please complete the COVID-19 Screening Attestation every morning your child/children attend school.

As always, New York State’s COVID Report Card is available for your review to keep all stakeholders fully informed.

Sincerely,

David Leach
Superintendent of Schools
