COVID-19 Update 3.22.2021

March 22, 2021

Dear WVCSD Community,

We continue to update our COVID-19 Dashboard/Report Card daily – New York State’s COVID Report Card. The New York State Education Department (NYSED) considers Pine Island ES as a Sanfordville satellite school. Therefore, the NYSED requires the District to add Pine Island School’s COVID-19 cases to the Sanfordville Elementary report.

Thank you for taking the everyday precautions needed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, like washing your hands, wearing a mask, and avoiding close contact with others. While we are all optimistic that better days are ahead, it is very important that we continue to work together to stay safe and keep our schools open.

Today, we were notified after school of a positive case on the Girls Swim Team.  Currently, the High School administration is making phone calls to quarantine the members of the team. We are now in the process of notifying these families.

The overview written below will provide you with a summary of COVID-19 positive cases, which have occurred since our last update on March 8, 2021. The District notified any students/families impacted by the quarantines.
