COVID-19 Update 1.21.2021

Dear WVCSD Community, 

Today we received notification that two students, one at Park Avenue Elementary School and one at Warwick Valley Middle School, have tested positive for COVID-19. These cases were reported to us but have not yet been confirmed by the Orange County Department of Health. School personnel will contact all students and staff in direct or proximate contact with the infected students no later than this evening.

New York State’s COVID Report Card is available for your review to keep all stakeholders fully informed. The New York State Education Department (NYSED) considers Pine Island ES as a Sanfordville Elementary satellite school. Therefore, the NYSED requires the District to add Pine Island School’s COVID-19 cases to the Sanfordville Elementary report.

Please continue to keep your child and his/her siblings home if they feel ill or await COVID test results.
