Community Message: School Calendar Updates

As the 2020-2021 school year draws to a close, we would like to update you on a few changes to the remainder of the school calendar and make sure that everyone is aware of some important dates. 

End of the school year
The last day of school for students will be Thursday, June 24, and will be a full day of instruction for K-8.  High School student’s last day of instruction remains Monday, June 21st. High School students only need to come in if they have a Regents Exam on Tuesday, June 22nd, Wednesday, June 23rd, Or Thursday, June 24th. Friday, June 25, will be the last day for staff.

End of year celebrations at each school are as follows:

Thursday, June 17 @ 9:30 a.m.
Moving Up Day @ Park Avenue Elementary
Ceremonies at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.

Monday, June 21 & Tuesday, June 22
Moving Up Days @ Warwick Valley Middle School
Ceremonies at 8:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. each day

Wednesday, June 23
Moving Up Day @ Sanfordville Elementary
Ceremonies at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 12:00 p.m. 

Thursday, June 24
Last day of school for students.

Saturday, June 26
2020-2021 Commencement Ceremony @ Warwick Valley High School
Graduation will begin at 10:00 a.m. (Rain Date: Sunday, June 27 at 10:00 a.m. )

Chromebooks
The District will be collecting Chromebooks beginning on Friday, June 18 for High School students, and the process will continue through the final week of school for all students grades 3-12. To find out how and where to return your student’s Chromebook, please click here for details.

Finally, Kindergarten Screening for incoming students will begin the Monday after graduation. Screening will take place at Pine Island Elementary School beginning on Monday, June 28 and continuing through Thursday,  July 1. Please click here for more details.
