Arden Hallett and Sarah Davis honored with Outstanding Student awards

Warwick Valley High School valedictorian Arden Hallett and salutatorian Sarah Davis were among the honorees from mid-Hudson school districts recognized at the 2022 Orange-Ulster BOCES Outstanding Student Award Ceremony on June 13 at Kuhl’s Highland House in Middletown.

 

Arden excels in all academic areas, but truly enjoys mathematics, science and world languages. She in fact is a National Merit Finalist and was offered a National Merit Scholarship. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and received Chemistry and Spanish Awards for earning the highest average in those subject areas. Also, as a member of the Warwick Track Team, she has been named a Scholar Athlete in every athletic season. After high school, Arden will attend the University of Iowa where she will major in actuarial science and statistics.

Sarah also excels in all academic areas and has a passion for mathematics, chemistry, and other sciences. She is highly decorated with the Eisenhower Leadership Award, Outstanding Student in Mandarin Chinese, OCIAA Scholar Athlete, Summa Cum Laude Honors in every marking period in high school, MVP of the volleyball team and Section 9 All Star, All Section volleyball player and Section 9 champion in girls basketball. Sarah keeps herself extremely busy and involved even outside of school where she plays club volleyball and basketball on travel teams and tutors students in mathematics and chemistry. After high school, Ms. Davis will attend Michigan State University and will major in environmental biology and plant biology.
