2016-17 Advanced Placement (AP) students: Register and pay for exams online this year

AP logoWarwick Valley High School is using an online registration system for AP exam registration this year:

Through this website, students and their families will complete required registration information and pay for their AP exam(s), which will be administered in June and are a requirement of their AP course(s).

The fee for the first exam is $97.00, with additional exams costing $88.00 per exam. The site opened for registration on Dec. 15, and will remain open until March 1st (there is an additional per exam late fee after Feb 15th).

Each AP course has a corresponding exam that will be administered at WVHS in May 2017; this exam is a course requirement and necessary to receive an AP score from the College Board for possible college credit.

For the 2017 AP exams, students will register online through the Total Registration website:

Important details:

  • Cost: the first exam is $97.00, with each subsequent exam costing $88.00.
  • Online registration opens Thurs., Dec. 15, 2016, at 12:00 a.m. See below for all deadlines.
  • Students must answer required questions.
  • Registration is not complete until the pdf confirmation page provided at the end is printed.
  • It is strongly recommended that parents and students both be present while registering to ensure that the correct exam(s) are ordered.

Payment: There are two payment options:
1) Credit card/debit card, or
2) Check/money order
If paying by check/money order, after completing the registration, you must print a payment stub and mail to Total Registration with your payment.

Important dates:

  • Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at 12:03 a.m. – Registration begins.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. – Registrations and payments after this date will incur a $5 late fee per exam.
  • Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. – Registration Ends.
  • Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. – Registrations that have not been paid for will be cancelled and exams will not be ordered.

Fee reductions are available for students who receive free/reduced lunch or have received fee waivers for SAT/ACT testing. If you have not received these services but feel you may be eligible for a fee reduction, please refer to the table below to check your eligibility. During the registration you will indicate that you are requesting a fee reduction and your registration will go to the counseling department for confirmation.

The following table lists annual family incomes by family size, at 185 percent of the poverty level. If the AP student’s family’s income did not exceed the amount listed in the appropriate row and column, he or she qualifies for an AP Exam fee reduction.
