Alumni encouraged to include tour as part of their reunion festivities

Organizers of class reunions are encouraged to schedule a tour of the high school as part of their reunion weekend activities. Come with your classmates to see all of the changes that have taken place through the years. Check out the new gym, media center and computer labs – and some of the areas that haven’t changed a bit – the “pits,” the North and South Cafeterias and some of the old classrooms and lockers.

The preferred time for a tour, which lasts approximately one hour, is 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. Saturday. To schedule a guided tour, contact Athletic Director Greg Sirico at 845-987-3000, ext. 12880 or

Alma Mater

Warwick High School held a contest in the fall of 1943 to select an alma mater, or school song. The winning entry was a collaborative effort, with music written by Mr. Ken Durland (’46) and lyrics by Stella Bogdanski Mileski (1945). Here are the lyrics:

We hail to the Alma Mater
all our triumphs we offer to you.
We will fight for the right to do better,
your spirit will lead us through.

May the purple and golden banner wave
toward that goal above.
All for our Warwick High School,
for this, the school we love.

The song was first performed by the Glee Club at the school’s Spring Concert in 1944. View  the original Warwick High School Alma Mater sheet music
