From the Superintendent – a sad loss in our school community
Dear Warwick School Community,
It is with profound sadness that we inform you of a recent loss to our school community.
On Aug. 22, Warwick Valley High School student Isaac Oliver passed away.
On behalf of the school district, I want to express my heartfelt sympathy to Isaac’s family at this very difficult time.
A student’s death can generate a high level of anxiety and distress in some students. If you feel that your children are having difficulty, we encourage you to discuss their thoughts and feelings to help them work through their grief or concerns. If you feel that your children need to speak to a counselor or other adult, please contact your school counselor.
On the first day of school, our Warwick Valley High School counselors and psychologists will be available for any student who may need or want help surrounding this loss. We also encourage parents to feel free to use our resources.
School district support will also be available at the services for Issac:
