8th Grade trip to the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Museum & Library

on March 30, 2016

WVMS 8th graders will have an opportunity for a history learning experience later in the month of April.

The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Museum and Library in Hyde Park, NY is a historic landmark that will give our students an opportunity to learn about the Roosevelts, the experience of the Great Depression, as well as World War II.

Students will participate in guided tours and there will be “document-based historical research” to explore themes of leadership, human rights, international crises of that time period, etc.

Additionally, students will tour the former president’s home, so this promises to be an informative and engaging experience for all!
