Warwick’s Natalie Daigle and Tristan Peterson Named OCIAA Scholar Athletes

Natalie Daigle and Tristan Peterson were recognized by the  Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association (OCIAA) as Warwick Valley High School’s 2020 Senior Scholar Athletes of the Year.  Peterson and Daigle were honored as seniors who have distinguished themselves in the classroom and the athletic arena, along with 48 students from the 24 schools that make up the OCIAA. 

Natalie Daigle ranks ninth in a class of 304 with a cumulative grade point average of 101.28.  She is a five-year varsity lacrosse player and was selected team captain for the 2020 season.  Natalie has scored 122 goals and led the team in assists for the past two seasons (All Section IX Selection).  Natalie has competed on the varsity soccer team for four  years as a defensive midfielder. She is a National Honor Society Member and Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society Member.  Natalie serves as student representative to the Warwick Board of Education and the Warwick Historical Society.   She will be attending Vassar College in the fall, majoring in biology and playing lacrosse for the Brewers.

Tristan Peterson ranks 19th in his class with a cumulative grade point average of 100.36.  He is a two-year varsity football player and four-year varsity indoor and outdoor track athlete as a thrower.  He was selected captain of the throwers in 2020.  Tristan is a National Honor Society Member and serves as the Model United Nations President.  Tristan is an active member of Youth in Government and President of the Spanish Club.  He will be attending the University of Miami in the fall and will major in engineering.
