Board of Education, Superintendent work on finalizing budget proposal
After holding several Community Budget Forums, the last on March 22, the
Board of Education is working on finalizing a budget proposal to put
before voters on May 18, 2010. Taking community input into
consideration, the board members and the Superintendent believe they
will be able to present a budget community members can support.

on the stage and in the sky
The Pine Island Drama Club recently completed three magical performances
of Disney’s Aladdin, Jr., and enjoyed a special Star Party with guest
astronomers, telescopes and a portable planetarium.

Second annual Valentines for Vets breakfast a big hit at Warwick Valley
Middle School
After being postponed due to all the winter storms, students at Warwick
Valley Middle School were finally able to host their annual “Valentines
for Vets” Breakfast on Feb. 18, 2010, in the Middle School cafetorium.

WVHS girls relay team named All-Americans
In order to be named an All-American, a track relay team must place in
the top six at a Nationals event. Warwick's 4 x 800 m Relay Team
competed and performed well enough at the National Scholastic Indoor
Nationals to be named All-Americans.
