Empty Bowls Fundraising Event
Saturday, April 2, at WVHS
Join together to fight hunger in our community! Through Empty Bowls, an
international grassroots effort to fight hunger, we can enjoy a
wonderful evening out while at the same time helping to combat hunger in
our own community. Tickets are $25 each or $50 for a family of four. All
proceeds will go to Warwick's Back Pack Snack Attack Program and the
Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry. Please consider participating in this
inaugural community event on Sat., April 2, 2011, at 3 pm at Warwick
Valley High School.

Board of Education Work Session on Elementary
School Transition to Take Place April 4
The Board of Education will hold a Work Session Monday, April 4, 2011 at
7 p.m. in the Dorothy C. Wilson Education Center to discuss Elementary
School transition plans for 2011-12.

Warwick Board of Education: Reestablishing
Long Term Goals for 21st Century Learning
At the Board of Education Strategic Planning meeting Tues., March 29,
items discussed included a recap of the Strengths, Weaknesses,
Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) Analysis, the BOE Mission Statement, a
projected 10-year financial review with budget gap projections and SMART
– Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-bound - Goals moving
forward.

Support PTAs and
Purple Champions
In support of Warwick Valley Central
School District, participating vendors will be donating a percentage of
their profits on the sale of bagged and bulk mulch, top soil and
energy-efficient light bulbs to District PTAs and the Purple Champions.
