Warwick Crew Team wins Orange-Ulster Cup

Congratulations to the Warwick Valley High School Crew Team, which won the prestigious Orange-Ulster Cup on Tuesday, May 16 at Pine Cliff Lake in West Milford, NJ.

The rowing team competed against Kingston, North Rockland, Clarkstown and many other area school district teams, scoring 96 total points and edging out second place Suffern.

The girls eight-woman boat, which raced 1500 meters, finished with a time of 5 minutes and 45 seconds.

The boat was manned by Kira Poulson, Alessia Losa, Kelly Hennesey, Seana Morgan, Josephine Romano, Caleigh Rubin, Kaylee Oelsfe and Annie Demetroules, as well as coxswain (boat coordinator), Abby Housberg.

Coaches for the Crew team this school year were Jim and Cate Cody, Steph Poulson and many other volunteers.
