What's your passion? At the Middle School, there's a club for everyone.

COOKING AND SEWING CLUB

Advisors: Mrs. Linda Motyka and Ms. Corinne Lane

Description: Open to any interested 7th and 8th grade student. This club will meet on designated Tuesdays and/or Thursdays beginning in October and running for 15 weeks. This club is designed to give students the opportunity to appreciate the art of sewing and cooking. The sewing will give students the opportunity to sew different projects for themselves and others. The cooking will take the students on a taste tour to lands far and near with an assortment of easy to make recipes.

 

DRAMA CLUB

Advisor: Mrs. Noreen Hanson

Description: Open to any interested middle school students in good academic standing who audition. This club will meet daily and on Saturdays from September through April. This club is designed to develop students acting and singing skills through rehearsal and participation in both a cabaret show and spring musical.

 

GUITAR CLUB

Advisors: Mr. John Gouveia and Mr. Ed Mesic

Description: Open to any interested middle school students in good academic standing that have been chosen through audition. This club will meet Monday through Thursdays. This club is an additional music outlet for students who play guitar and drums to practice together playing designated selections in preparation for a student assembly and evening concert.

 

JAZZ BAND

Advisor: Mr. Ryan Muehlbauer

Description: Open to any middle school student who is a member of the band or orchestra. This club will meet on designated Tuesdays September to June. This band will provide opportunities for improvisation and exposure to various musical styles outside of traditional concert band. Students will perform a minimum of 3 concerts per year.

 

JR. FFA CLUB

Advisor: Mrs. Michelle Ehler

Description: Open to any interested middle school students in good academic standing. This club will meet on designated Tuesdays and/or Thursdays September to October and again in February to May. This club is designed to develop leadership skills by engaging students in entrepreneurship projects, community service projects, and competing in public speaking contests. (Students will elect an officer team for the club.)

 

NATIONAL HISTORY DAY CLUB

Advisor: Mr. Tom Rauschenbach

Description: Open to any interested 7th and 8th grade student. This club will meet on designated Tuesdays and/or Thursdays starting in October and will run through March up to the local competition date. Students will create projects in accordance with a theme in order to compete in National History Day. (This will require intense research and preparation.)
