student
recognition program outline
The Kings’ Student
Recognition Program began several years ago. This year our
program emphasizes the character trait of service. We
believe that in service there are great rewards, such as
personal growth and the joy of reaching out to others.
If you notice your child has gone above and beyond, we
welcome you to print and fill out
this form and send it in
to your child’s teacher. Please include specific details.
Here are some examples of every day expectations:
•
Cleaning his/her room
•
Feeding pets
•
Completing all homework to the best of their abilities
•
Household/yard chores
Behaviors that go “above and beyond expectations” are not
asked for; they are freely given from the heart. Terms you
may consider when describing your child’s act of service
might include sacrifice for family or friends, empathy, and
generosity.
Please note that submissions may not be made on-line; they
must be made as a hard copy.
Children will be recognized at regularly scheduled school
assemblies for these services. We will also honor students
who have participated in school service related projects
throughout the year.
We hope to be able to honor all of our students here at Kings
and also hope that you feel as enthusiastic about our
program as we do. We look forward to hearing from as many of
you as possible.
