little background...
Warwick's current band director, Mr.
Chris Persad, brings to the program the dedicated effort and
outstanding leadership that has resulted in tremendous
growth in band since 2001, when he first came to Warwick.
With a band enrollment that averages 100-150 students, the
program now includes the concert and marching band, wind
ensemble and jazz ensemble.
The band program strives to maintain a balance in all facets
of music education, including the development of the
individual musician. Over the years, the WVHS Band program
has consistently produced excellent musicians, some of whom
have gone on to study music after high school.
Awards and recognition have come often to the Band as a
whole as well as individual members. Name some awards here.
