Your Old chairs, desks, stools, etc.
The Warwick Valley High School Art Department is gratefully accepting donations of wooden chairs, desks, stools, etc. The art dept. will be hosting an art show/scholarship chair auction on April 30th in the HS Auditorium this year! Students will use their considerable creative talents to give new life to old chairs - and then auction them off. Proceeds will go to an art scholarship fund for Warwick students. ART
AT WARWICK VALLEY
HIGH SCHOOL
The goal of the art program at Warwick Valley High School is to help students to develop their appreciation for and understanding of the various art disciplines and the contributions of art in our society. The course offerings include a wide range of exciting full year and half year courses.
The department is proud to offer courses that are aligned within distinct strands of study: two dimensional studies, three dimensional studies and digital art studies.
The foundation course for practically all electives is
Studio Art, in which students develop their skills in a
variety of media and hands-on applications, as well as learn
art history, art criticism, and strategies for personal
expression. Below is a complete list of the Art Department
course offerings at Warwick Valley High School. For a
description of each course, see the
HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM HANDBOOK.
