
ART AT WARWICK VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL
The goal of the art program at Warwick Valley High School is to help students to develop their appreciation for and understanding of the various art disciplines and the contributions of art in our society. The course offerings include a wide range of exciting full year and half year courses.
The department is proud to offer courses that are aligned within distinct strands of study: two dimensional studies, three dimensional studies and digital art studies.
The foundation course for practically all electives is Studio Art, in which students develop their skills in a variety of media and hands-on applications, as well as learn art history, art criticism, and strategies for personal expression. Arts will be conducting Media Arts and Visual Arts Portfolio
Reviews around New York State in February and March as part of
the selection process for their 2012 4-week residential
programs.

The WVHS art department is seeking donations of Digital SLR
cameras in good working condition, potter's wheels, kilns,
sewing machines, cardboard, etc. Questions about what to
donate or how to go about it can be emailed to art teacher

HS Office or dropped off at Mr. Manno's classroom (Room 67).
