Youth Development Survey to be Given to
8th-, 10th- and 12th-Grade Students
Feb. 14, 2012 - On February 23rd, the WVCSD will administer the New York State Youth Development Survey developed by the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) to all 8th, 10th and 12th graders. The survey takes a class period to complete. More.

Seeking nominations for new Heroes in Teaching Award
Award to recognize current K-12 teachers who have enhanced the academic careers of our students
Feb. 10, 2012 - This new award, sponsored by a local family, is designed to recognize the impact of excellent teaching on Warwick students. Nominations may be made by seniors and should demonstrate how the teacher nominated has helped them achieve academic excellence. Applicants may choose to submit a written nomination, video nomination or request a personal interview to complete the submission process, and the deadline is May 1, 2012. WVHS Student Places First in Regional Auto Competition
Warwick Valley High School senior Tyler Filipowski recently placed first in the 2012 Greater New York Automotive Dealers Association (GNYADA) Regional Automotive Competition. Tyler and his teammate took top honors among the 15 teams competing in the day-long contest. Both are Automotive Technology students in the Transportation Careers Academy at CTEC. WVHS Students Opportunity to Reach Out
A new student-driven initiative at the high school is a
"help" box designed to give students an opportunity to reach
out for help for themselves or for a friend who may be
struggling with something. The box is located outside the
High School Office.
