Financial Aid Night is Tues., Nov. 24
Nov. 10, 2015 -The Warwick Valley High School Guidance Department will hold its annual Financial Aid Night on Tues. evening, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. This is an important event for all college-bound seniors and their parents, especially for parents sending a child to college for the first time. Representatives from Marist College Financial Service Dept. will present ALL of the pertinent information you need to know regarding steps involved in applying for and acquiring financial aid, grants and scholarships. Question and answer session to follow.

Nov. 18, 2015 - The Warwick Valley School District and Warwick Valley High School welcomed current Greenwood Lake 8th grade students and their parents at a WVHS Open House on the evening of Nov. 17. A welcome session and introduction were held in the Media Center, followed by building tours led by HS students. Students and parents enjoyed a "Meet the Teachers" session and Curriculum Fair, and spoke with club representatives at a Club Fair. They finished the evening with a student music performance in the auditorium.
HS Drama Club presents "Charlotte's Web"
Nov. 17, 2015 - The WVHS Drama Club presented a revival of one of its best loved shows, Charlotte’s Web, on Nov. 13 & 14 in the Theater at Warwick Valley High School. This official adaptation of the E.B. White novel has all the enchanting characters children have come to love, and tells the story of a pig named Wilbur and his friendship with a barn spider named Charlotte. Charlotte's Web is considered a classic of children's literature, enjoyable to adults as well as children..

Nov., 2015 - Driver Education will be offered by an independent driving school during the spring semester. Any student who wishes to participate in the program this spring must have their Junior Driver's License by Feb. 1. Program runs from Feb. through May/June 2016. Registration forms are due Dec. 18, 2015.

Leo Kaytes Ford Drive 4UR School program raises $6000 for Warwick athletics
Nov. 5, 2015 - Leo Kaytes Ford of Warwick, in conjunction with the Ford Motor Company, sponsored Warwick athletic and extracurricular teams in raising $6000 through the Drive4UR School Program. The event took place on Sat. Sept. 19 during Homecoming weekend. For every test drive of a Ford vehicle, Ford Motor Company donated $20 to the sports team or club of the driver’s choice.

Katie's Music Wish club at WVHS provides musical instruments to students in need - seeking donations
Oct. 5, 2015 - Do you have an old violin or cello collecting dust in your attic? Find a new home for that instrument while helping a child not fortunate enough to be able to afford one. Katie's Music Wish is a new club at WVHS that provides string instruments to children who've been unable to attain one.
