Jan. 29, 2015 - Students and parents, please note: Social Studies final exams and post-baseline exams are scheduled for Tues., Feb. 3.
Report cards will be delayed
Jan. 29, 2015 - Due to some Regents exams having been postponed because of school closings, the end of the second marking period has been extended until February 4 for middle and high school students. Therefore, report cards will be mailed home on February 12, 2015.
WVHS recognizes 53 students as new members of the National Honor Society
Jan. 21, 2015 - On Wed., Jan. 14, Warwick Valley High School inducted 53 new members into the Henry C. Lamoreaux Warwick Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS). Click here to read more and to see the list of new NHS members.

WVHS student winner of Red Ribbon photo contest
January, 2015 - Congratulations to Taylor Mosher for winning The 2014 Red Ribbon Photo Contest. During Red Ribbon awareness week, Taylor decorated the front door of her home with this year's theme, "Love Yourself. Be Drug Free." Her piece displayed a silhouette of a dancer with a red ribbon in the shape of a heart. Her entry accumulated the highest amount of votes for the New York/New Jersey region. Taylor will receive an ipad, and $1,000 donation to our school district, which will be used to support drug prevention and education about the dangers of drugs. Interact Club gives back to the community
Dec., 2014 - The WVHS Interact Club recently organized and ran a food drive at the high school, donating more than 10,00 food items to local food pantries. They also adopted 25 local families, collecting and sending food to them for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
WVHS Junior runs "Teens for Jeans" community service project
Donate jeans at the high school until Feb. 13
Dec. 23, 2014 - Have jeans you no longer wear? WVHS Junior Petra Chiabi is running a
Teens for Jeans drive. The program is a national
competition, held in alliance with DoSomething.org and
Aeropostale, in which teens collect jeans to assist the
homeless. Jeans may be of any size, condition and color.
Jeans are being collected at Warwick Valley High School,
and elementary and middle school families are also invited
to drop off jeans in the HS lobby. The collection has
begun, and the jean drive ends February 13.

• Juniors - Library/Media Center
• Sophomores - North Cafeteria
• Freshmen - South Cafeteria
On February 14, all jeans will be delivered to the Aeropostale store in the Galleria Mall.

Dec., 2015 - The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) has selected the most musically talented high school students in the Eastern region of the United States to perform in the 2015 NAfME All-Eastern Honors Ensembles. Clayton Thompson, a junior in the WVHS Honors Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble, is among those talented students.

Dec. 1, 2014 - During the spring semester, Driver Education will be offered by an independent driving school. Students are chosen by lottery, with priority given to seniors and juniors. Please note: applications for the Spring semester will be accepted until the classes are filled.
