WVHS student chosen to attend science and technology congress
June 30, 2015 - Grace Zimmerman, a WVHS sophomore, has been nominated to attend the summer Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders 2015 in Boston. The Congress is an honors-only program for high school students who are involved in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM). During the three day Congress, Grace will join students from across the country and hear Nobel Laureates and National Medal of Science winners talk about leading scientific research, and learn about cutting edge advances and the future of science and technology. Chamber Strings received a
Gold with Distinction rating at the NYSSMA Majors Evaluation for their performance on Level 5 NYSSMA ensemble repertoire. Congratulations!

This year's senior class has
volunteered an extraordinary
22,266 hours of community service!
June 16, 2015 - Our community has benefited greatly from an impressive student community service effort and number of volunteer hours.
• The Senior Class had 43 students complete 50 or more hours of community service, for the Principal Award, totaling 2,800 hours.
• A total of 85 students completed 100 or more hours for the Superintendent Award, totaling 14,507 hours.

May 11, 2015 - On May 1, WVHS seniors Naomi Hanson and Roberto J. (RJ) Zayas were among 32 high school seniors honored at the second annual Senior Scholar Humanities Breakfast. These students have distinguished themselves in the humanities during their high school careers, and were honored for their significant achievements in the arts and humanities.

March 23, 2015 - The Warwick Valley High School Leadership Academy is accepting applications. Are you interested in learning about five leadership practices that can help you to become the leader you were born to be? Participants in the Leadership Academy will have the opportunity to attend a leadership workshop, to work closely with leaders from the Warwick community, and to develop a program for their fellow WVHS students.
