PTSA sponsors programs at WVHS
Dec. 2, 2013 - here., an a cappella singing group featuring WVHS alum Allison Dethmers, recently traveled from Ithaca College to deliver workshops to our HS music students. This month, the PTSA will also help fund Rachel's Challenge, a powerful anti-bullying assembly and program. These are just a few examples of the great programs sponsored by the PTSA. "Pennies for Food" collections underway
A district effort to help our neighbors in need
Nov. 27, 2013 - The number of people in our community going without food is staggering. Due to recent changes in legislation concerning food stamps, food banks are being drained of their resources faster than ever. The WVCSD and WV Council of PTA's are working together to make a difference! Beginning in December, students will begin a “Pennies for Food” campaign.
WVHS class ring delivery scheduled for Dec. 13
Juniors and Seniors can still order a class ring!
WVHS class rings will be delivered on Fri., Dec. 13 during the lunch periods outside the cafeteria. Please remember your payment balance due. Any junior or senior may still order a class ring with a $60 deposit. You can create your ring online and place your order on Fri., Dec. 13.

Dec. 4, 2013 - The "Classroom Wish
List" program allows teachers and administrators
in the WVCSD to collaborate and post a wish list of classroom supplies that would benefit every teacher in an individual building. The community can purchase these items right off the wish list and help build a supply closet, which any teacher can access.
WVHS named to 4th Annual AP District Honor Roll
Nov. 22, 2013 - For the second time in four years, Warwick Valley High School has been named to the College Board's AP District Honor Roll. WVHS is one of only 27 high schools in New York, and one of only two area high schools, to receive this designation.
WVHS named a New York State Reward School
Sept. 11, 2013 - WVHS has been named
one of New York State's 353 "Reward Schools" for the
2013-14 school year.
WVHS Interact holiday food drive brings in 3000 food items!
Nov. 22 , 2013 - The Warwick Valley High School Interact Club’s annual holiday food drive has been a great success. WVHS faculty, students and staff donated close to 3,000 food items to date. Packed boxes were delivered to 25 senior citizen families for Thanksgiving, and the extra food will be used to assemble another 25 boxes for Christmas. Any remaining food will be delivered to local food pantries. Click on photo above to view larger.

Holly Marcolina, a WVHS social studies teacher, was selected from a national applicant pool as a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Scholar to attend one of 21 NEH "Landmarks of American History and Culture" workshops.
