Wildcats Raise Money for Local
Cause
- By Gregory Sirico
January 4, 2012 - The Boys Basketball Team hosted the annual Coaches vs. Cancer Tip Off Classic over the winter break. The Wildcats defeated Rondout Valley in the opening round and finished second overall. Under the direction of Boys Basketball Coach Tom Folino and Girls Basketball Coach Jim O’Brien, $500 was raised for a local player and coach who are battling cancer. Special thanks to Mr. Jim Sciarra who volunteered his time to run 50/50’s to benefit the cause.
Warwick was paced by Albert Hall, who
scored 15 and 22 points in the tournament as well as Jordan
Totaro (7 and 11 points) and Dylan Ligouri (11 points in the
final). The Wildcats record is now 2 – 1 overall.
