Parents as Reading Partners program encourages students to READ
Thurs., Feb. 2, 2012 - Monday, January 30th represented the kickoff of our PAWS FOR READING themed Parents as Reading Partners program this year.
Students will be reading a minimum of 15 minutes per day for three weeks in order to support our local Animal Shelter. The pledges and goods will be presented to Ms. Hanlon on Feb. 16.
This program will encourage students to read and will help them learn more about this community program. Our Animal Shelter is in need of funding and goods in order to provide for the over 200 animals now in their care.
Students have already begun to volunteer at the shelter, and several animals have already been adopted.
