THREE WAYS STUDENT ATHLETES CAN GET MONEY FOR COLLEGE
Study, Study, Study!
In March of 2008, New York Times Reporter and Warwick parent Bill Pennington wrote an article on the cultural misconception about athletic scholarships. In the article, Mr. Pennington talks about the big difference between what parents and student athletes expect in the way of scholarships and what the scholarships actually deliver. When asked what advice he would offer to parents and student athletes who are considering athletic scholarships as a way to finance college, Mr. Pennington suggested reaching out to a college coach via email to find out the reality on scholarships and certainly, if college is the end goal -- get good grades.
