Boys Streak Stays intact with Victory Over Washingtonville
The boys track team kept their consecutive dual meet victory streak alive as they defeated Washingtonville in dual meet last week. The streak dates back to 1991. Top athletes in the meet include David K. in the discus with a throw of 137 feet and Alex L. in the mile run at 4:29. The track and field team also raised $550 for the Brian Ahearn Children’s’ Fund on Saturday 5/3. Top runners were Mike F. 1:57 (800M), and Wayne L. 2:01 in the 800 M. Girls Track continues its winning ways with victory over Washingtonville in the dual meet. Jenna M. went 15.9 in the 110 HH and Ashley V. threw the discus 90’ 9”for a team best. In the 3000 Meters Tori P. set a school record at 9:59.8. Teams both compete in Friendship games on 5/9 beginning at 6 PM.

Baseball Chasing Section IX Title
Warwick Baseball knocked off New York States’ Class A top team Cornwall in extra innings and improved to 9 wins and 3 losses. Dan L. came through with a big hit in the 8th inning to drive in Billy J. and the winning run. Team has defeated Middletown, Cornwall and Saugerties last week behind great pitching from Bryan H., Brandon M. and Eric K. Great job catching by freshman rookies Christian G. and Nick G. Wildcats have big series with VC this week Home on 5/5 and 5/8 and at VC 5/6. Cats take on Pine Bush Wednesday at Pine Bush. All games start at 4 PM.

katie s. Pitches Two Hitter
The Warwick Girls Softball Team finished the week off with a great pitching performance by Katie S. who pitched a two hitter vs. NFA on Friday 5/2. Erin F. continues to hit the ball well and seniors Katie R., Kristen S. and Alysha J. have shown great leadership throughout the year as the Wildcats make a push for the playoffs. Girls will be at Seward on Tuesday 5/6 for border battle and will take on Wallkill at home on 5/8.

Rolls to big Division Wins
Kevin C. scored 5 goals as Wildcats defeated FDR Hyde Park 12 -2 early in the week. Boys took care of Washingtonville on 5/2 with a resounding 20 – 2 victory paced by Byron Q.’s 8 goals and John K.’s 4 goals and 6 assists. Team improves to 7 wins vs. just 4 losses as they head into important week with VC. Cats are at VC 5/5 and at Washingtonville on 5/7. All games are scheduled for 4:30 PM.

Defeat Washingtonville to Stay Undefeated in Division
The girls’ lacrosse team defeated Washingtonville on 5/1 to stay undefeated in division play. Megan C. led the way with 5 goals while Olivia D., Renee R. each contributed two goals. Ally S. had 5 saves in a winning effort. The girls lost a tough game to MW 14 – 12 and will look for rematch in mid May. The team is at VC on 5/6 in a big division game that begins at 6:30.

Oliver L. and Miller H. Roll in doubles
Oliver L. and Miller H. continue to roll in doubles play with a record of 8 and 2. Peter K. in also 8 – 2 overall in first singles spot. Ross I., Casey W. and Mike K. had wins against Monticello. The boys play Washingtonville, Port Jervis, Fallsburg and NFA this week.

3 Wins for the Week
The boys golf racked up three wins this week bringing their record to 11 – 1. The team will travel to Swan Lake Country Club on 5/14 to compete in the Orange County Qualifier. Seniors Rich L., Joe M. and Ryan M. have had outstanding seasons. Cats’ can clinch division championship with win over Minisink on 5/5.

Continues to Play Well
The girls golf team is now 4 – 1 and 6 – 3 overall with tough loss to top ranked NFA this past week. Kaitlyn C., Meg R., Noelle G. are top performers with Kim S., Corinne S. and Allison D. contributing to wins. Girls take on MW on 5/7 and at Middletown 5/8.
