Claire
P. Signs National Letter of Intent
Claire P. (senior track superstar) signed a full athletic scholarship to attend the University of Massachusetts (UMASS) and compete in XC and Track and Field for the Minute Men (Atlantic 10 Conference). Claire becomes the second athlete in the girls’ championship track program to sign athletic scholarship to major school (Division I).

Great Season Leads to Tournament Bid
The Varsity Girls have earned a trip to the big dance (the section 9 basketball tournament) with one of the best seasons in many years. The girls have recorded 13 wins vs. 7 losses as they defeated Washingtonville in double overtime in total team effort. Samantha B.’s outside shooting and Katrina C. and company's on-court decision making were the difference. The Wildcats will travel to Washingtonville as the 5th seed in the Section 9 AA basketball tournament. Tip – off is scheduled for Monday 2/25 at 6 PM.

Wildcat boys’ basketball team finished out the season 15 – 5 under Coach Gary Vyskocil. The Cats enter the tournament as a controversial 5th seed and travel to Middletown in the 6 team Section 9 Basketball Tournament. A win at Middletown would mean a rematch with the top-seeded Minisink on Thursday night 2/28 in Minisink Warrior Country.

and Girls Indoor Track
Boys and Girls Win Section Titles - Look to States
The Boys and Girls indoor track teams took 1st place in the Section championships last weekend and will look to the State Qualifier (which has been rescheduled for 2/29 at West Point due to inclement weather). The teams will run at the Armory in NYC for the Eastern States on 2/26.

Wrestling
Wildcats place 7th at Section Final
The Varsity Wrestlers had a strong showing at the Section IX tournament. Shane C. (8th grade) led the charge, winning the tournament at 96lbs. He will advance to the state meet in Rochester, New York March 8th and 9th. Mitch W. placed 3rd (145 lbs), Sean P. took 4th (130 lbs), Garrett F. placed 4th (103 lbs) while Thomas O. (140 lbs.), Chris V. (215 lbs) and Dan K. (160 lbs.) all finished in 6th place.

Seniors Lead Way in Section Championship
The girls cheer team put together their best routine yet at the Section IX Championships held at Kingston HS. Led by seniors Chelsea E., Sammy Jo V. and Kelly K., the girls showed great growth throughout the year. You will have a chance to see the Lady Wildcats at the Ultamainia Game played on Friday night, March 7th.

Scored 32 Points at Section Championships
Boys swim team continued on its path of improvement by scoring 32 points at the Section 9 Swim Championships at Valley Central. Wildcat coaches Antoinette and John Quinn as well as Chris Morgan were very excited about the teams’ effort and improvement all season.
Warwick
Hockey (almost club status)
Behind strong senior leadership of Joel S., Brendan J. and Michael B., the Wildcat Hockey Team finished out the regular season with 12 wins 7 losses and 2 ties setting the best team record in the short history of the team. The team awaits a state tournament bid which will take place February 29th, March 1st and March 2nd.

Boys and Girls OCIAA Champions
The boys and girls ski teams finished first at the OCIAA championships. Jesse A. won the Section 9 Ski Championship for boys (combined slalom and giant slalom times) at Belleayre Mountain. Conor B. placed 12th overall. The boys’ team finished 3rd overall in the section behind Monticello and Onteora. The girls also placed 3rd in the section as a team. Anne D. P. (6th), Elise P. (8th) and Shanna W. (13th) all placed for the girls’ team. Anne D. and Elise P. and Jesse A. qualified for the state meet February 25th – 27th.
