Boys and Girls Capture Section 9 Titles
The boys' and girls' track teams continue their run to the state meet in Buffalo on the weekend of June 14th. The teams both worked to convincing Section 9 Class A titles. The boys scored 155 points on their way to the title. Ryan F. won the 1600 meters (4:21.77), Matt L. is the section steeple champion (10:03.50) and Dan P. finished second at 10:03.6. David K. placed in both the Shot Put and the Discus. The Pole Vault was dominated by the Flying Circus of Ben B. and Ben P. who both cleared 14 feet. The girls scored 125 points to earn the team title. Kristen J. won the 200 meters at 26:04. Lillian G. and Claire P. went 1, 2 in the 800 meters, running at 2:10 and 2:15 respectively. Tori P. will graduate the Section 9 1500 Meter Champion with a win at 4:38.47. The team of Claire P., Kristen J., Tori P. and Gabrielle R. won the 1600 meter relay. Senior Ashley V. won the Javelin with a throw of 90 feet 4 inches
Baseball
Wildcats win behind Bryan H.'s four-hitter
The Warwick Varsity Baseball team defeated Monroe-Woodbury in the first round of the Section 9 baseball tournament. Bryan H. held MW to 4 hits over 7 innings in the 5–2 victory. Dan L. and Brandon M. contributed big hits at key times in the game. Brandon M. contributed a single, double and 3 RBI’s. The Wildcats are at Minisink Valley in the section semifinal on Monday, June 2nd - First pitch is at 4 PM. A win will advance the Wildcats to the Section Final on 6/4 at SUNY New Paltz. (4 PM).

Softball Finishes with 10 wins
The Varsity Girls' Softball team finished the season with 10 wins. The girls had an outstanding season and capped the year with a 6–5 victory over Cornwall in a non–league game.

Lacrosse Finishes Season at Minisink
The boys’ lacrosse team rallied back from a slow start to fall short in the Section 9 lacrosse tournament at Minisink 13–10. The team entered the tournament as the 6th-seed and were defeated by Minisink (3rd seed) on Thursday.

Girls play Pine Bush tough in Section Semifinal
The Warwick girls’ lacrosse team finished a very successful season with a loss to Pine bush in the Section 9 Class AA Semi Final at Dietz Stadium. Girls finish the season division champions.

Peter K. finishes 4th in section 9
Sophomore Peter K. finished the tennis season 4th in the section 9 tournament held at SUNY New Paltz. The super sophomore finished third in the OCL the previous week.

Rich L. Shoots 83 at State Championships
Senior Rich L. shot an 83 in the first round of the NYSPHSAA state championship at Cornell University. Section 9 is the defending state champions in boys’ golf and is currently 3rd in the state as of Sunday, June 1st.

Girls Golf at Section 9 Meet on 5/27
The girls’ golf team will compete at the section 9 championships this week on Tuesday 5/27. The Section Championship also serves as the state qualifier. First Round Results at West Point's O.C.L. Tournament are Warwick’s Noele G. (117), Kaitlyn C. (120) and Meg R. (123).
