Ryan F. has been selected as this week's  Warwick Valley High School Student – Athlete of the Week, sponsored by ALLSTATE Insurance Bill Garcia Agency of Warwick.

The senior track star ran the 800 Meter leg of the high school relay team that recently placed 3rd in the Distance Medley Relay Championship of America. The event was held at the Penn Relays on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania at this past weekend's National Track Event. Ryan’s 800 meter split of 1:55.01. put the 'Cats third overall behind Champion Germantown Prep (Pennsylvania) and LaSalle Institute (Pennsylvania).

Ryan is a three-sport track athlete and is coming off the boys’ XC state title. His main events outdoors are middle distance (800 meters, mile and 2 mile).

Ryan will be attending the University of Albany where he will study business management. He will graduate from Warwick this spring with a GPA of 90. He is the son of Jean and Rich F. of Warwick. Ryan is a triplet; his sister Erin is a softball and basketball standout and will attend Plattsburgh this fall. His brother Steven is a standout swimmer and golfer and is still undecided but is leaning toward Hartford. Their older sister Katie is a graduate of The University of Scranton.

The Bill Garcia All State Insurance Agency is proud to recognize Ryan for his accomplishments in the classroom and on the track.
