Chelsea E. has been selected as this week’s Warwick Valley
High School Student–Athlete of the Week, sponsored by the
Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency. The senior
cheerleading captain was an important part of the school's
first competition cheer team which placed in the top ten in
the section 9 championship competition at Kingston last
weekend. The season included performances at a varsity
basketball game, wrestling match and 6 cheerfests throughout
the lower Hudson Valley. The team placed first at the Rock
“North Rockland High School Cheer Competition,” and will do
its final performance Friday night, March 7th at the
Ultamania Basketball Game in the high school gymnasium.
Chelsea has cheered on the varsity team since 10th grade and
has been a captain for 3 years (either fall or winter). She
is a member of the National Honor Society, Peer Mediation
Team and serves the community as a youth cheer coach. She
maintains a 93 grade point average and has narrowed her
college choices to The University of Scranton or the College
of St. Rose. Chelsea plans to study education (history) over
her next 4 years.
Chelsea is the daughter of Judie E. of Warwick. She has a
brother, Scott, who is in the 10th grade and a brother
Andrew in the 7th grade. She names Susan Waddell as an
important person and role model growing up. Warwick Valley
High School and the Bill Garcia All State Insurance Agency
are proud to honor Chelsea E. as this week’s Student-Athlete
