Shane T. has been selected as this week's Warwick Valley High School Student – Athlete of the Week, sponsored by ALLSTATE Insurance Bill Garcia Agency of Warwick. The senior basketball star has been a consistent scorer and defender on the Varsity Boys Basketball team that is currently 15 – 4. Shane scored a team high 23 points against Minisink and then broke 20 points again against Washingtonville in the final home game for the seniors. Shane comes out and plays hard every night and is a very good leader, important in the Wildcats' recent success. Warwick will take on Burke Catholic in their final game this week at Burke.

Shane has lived in Warwick his entire life. He has played basketball at all levels for the school and has received interest from numerous Division II and Division III Colleges. Shane has narrowed his decision to Hartwick, Slippery Rock and Farleigh Dickinson University, where he is being recruited to play men’s basketball. The 6’1” 170 lb. senior has continued to develop his game through AAU basketball (Orange County Elite) where his team went to Florida and participated in the AAU National Tournament. Shane maintains an 85 average and scored very well on the S.A.T. exam. He plans to study Engineering or Physical Therapy in college.

Shane T. is the son of Tony and Felicia T. of Warwick. His brother Anthony is a 1995 graduate of Warwick and his sister Ashley is a junior in college. The Bill Garcia All State Insurance Agency is proud to recognize Shane for his accomplishments in the classroom and on the basketball court.
